The Rusga

It was born officially in 13th February of 2003, in the parish of Correlhã, near Ponte de Lima village. It belongs to the association "Associação Cultural e Recreativa Corneliana" whose name was inspired on a roman man named Cornelius who gave the original name to the parish of Correlhã when the Romans were installed on this territory. Rusga is member of "Associação de Folclore de Ponte de Lima" and it is associate of the Portuguese Folklore Federation (Federação do Folclore Português).

The Costume

It is carachteristic of the region of Alto Minho.
Some of the head scarves have more than half century, and a few even have more than a century.

Tradition

The dances and songs talk about the quotidian of the country life, the festivities and pilgrimages in Correlhã and of the county of Ponte de Lima.
